HOURS OF OPERATION
Early Years Education System is open between the hours of 6:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. Monday to Friday during the year.

As regulated by the Day Nurseries Act, a child can only stay a maximum of 10 hours per day at the Centre.

CLOTHING
Please dress your child in proper labeled clothing and also provide extra pair of clothing and blanket/sheet. Parents must provide diapers, wipes & Vaseline/cream. Please ensure that your child has all the appropriate outdoor clothing to enable him/her to enjoy all activities. Toys and special items must remain at home. The Day Care will not be responsible for lost items.

FOOD
A hot lunch (if not provided by parents) and nutritious snacks will be provided to all children. Parents should complete the parent information form concerning any specific dietary needs, if necessary. Please do not give your child any candy or chewing gum. We provide halal / kosher meat and vegetarian meals only.

PAYMENT OF FEES
All fees must be paid on the first day of each calendar month/week in advance.
Payments can be made by cheque or cash.

WITHDRAWAL FROM THE CHILDCARE CENTRE
Two weeks notice must be given if your child is withdrawn from the centre.

LATE PICKUPS
Parents who are late picking up their children will be charged a late fee of $1.00 per minute after 6:00 p.m. payable directly to the staff on duty. This fee is subject to change without notice. NO RECEIPT WILL BE ISSUED FOR LATE FEES.

Please remember our staff also has personal commitments and/or families. It would be appreciated if you do your shopping/errands after you pick your child from the centre.

STATUTORY HOLIDAYS
Our Centre will be closed on regular statutory holidays. The following are dates when the centre will be closed.

Civic Day
Canada Day
Labour Day
Thanksgiving Day
Christmas Day
Boxing Day
New Year’s Day
Family Day

The centre will be closed early on Christmas Eve and New Year’s Eve.

MEDICATION
All medicines must be prescribed by a doctor. This means a Pharmacist’s label must be attached to such drugs as cough medicines and decongestants showing that your doctor has prescribed them for a particular child. It must have your child’s name on it.

No outdated medicines will be given. Please let us know if the medication should be stored in the fridge.
